Seafood Fettucini Alfredo

      Adapted from a Fettuccine Alfredo recipe submitted by Dawn Degman in a cookbook published by Sun & Shield Baptist Church of Marana, AZ.

      Serves: 4


      1/2 cup butter
      2 Tblsp cream cheese
      1 pint heavy cream
      1 tsp garlic powder
      salt (to taste)
      pepper (to taste)
      2/3 cup shredded parmesan cheese
      fettuccine noodles


      "In a large saucepan, melt the butter. When the butter is melted add the cream cheese until softened. When soft, add the heavy cream, garlic powder, salt & pepper. Bring to a low boil.
      Simmer 15 to 20 minutes, stirring constantly.
      Remove from heat and stir in the shredded parmesan cheese.
      Serve over cooked pasta.
      Excellent served with grilled chicken and steamed brocolli."


      We decided to go with seafood instead of chicken but kept the steamed brocolli recommendation. It was a good choice! We made two different versions based on our personal tastes and they were both excellent.
      We recommend doubling the recipe since we liked the sauce so much and felt there wasn't enough to go around.
